Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Logistics Specialist I to support vehicle operations at a Cox location in the United States. The role involves data entry, GPS tracker installation, license plate handling, and coordinating transporters for vehicle check-in at auction.

Responsibilities include accurate data capture in SECURE, safety compliance, and assisting during sale days as needed. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required, with potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction: VIN, stock number, dealer id, make, model, year, mileage, color.
• Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.
• Remove license plates and document them.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.

• Report transport damage as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety activities.
• Cross train for check-in and assist when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned, e.g., driving vehicles during sale days.
