Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson in Sylva, NC to clear brush and trees and perform site cleanup. The role requires outdoor work, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to operate basic equipment.

A driver’s license is preferred but not required, and benefits include medical, vision, dental, and a 401K plan. Experience in landscaping, construction, or related outdoor work is preferred, and you must be able to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or outdoor work preferred.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and keep work area clear.
• Clear brush and trees using hand tools.
• Load/unload trucks with debris and feed brush into chipper.
• Set up road signs and flag traffic.
• Drive truck or operate equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
