Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Forest City, NC is seeking a Groundsperson to support our crew by performing ground-based tasks such as clearing brush, trimming vegetation, and assisting with site cleanup. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to work outdoors in varying weather.

The role involves loading and unloading materials, operating basic equipment like chainsaws and pruners, and helping ensure safety on job sites.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to drag heavy limbs and operate equipment in uneven terrain.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must obtain and maintain first‑aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Clear brush and trees from ground as part of the crew’s tasks.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris; feed brush into a chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic to protect workers.
