Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. This role focuses on field operations, safe practices, and keeping projects moving in outdoor environments.

You will coordinate activities, document work, and interact with customers, contractors, and landowners while traveling to sites as needed. Travel may be required; company vehicle provided; ongoing training and industry certifications; fast-paced, outdoor, sometimes remote locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and tree growth patterns.
• 30+ semester credits toward a degree or 2-3 years of UVM experience without degree.
• Ability to hike/drive long hours and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices and GIS/ Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Identify and report hazards, follow safety standards, promote AMS values.
• Field Operations: Drive to sites, hike ROWs, inspect vegetation work, document data with tablets.
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: Address concerns, communicate with leadership and clients, maintain positive relations.
• Emergency Response & Other Responsibilities: Participate in storm response and other duties as assigned.
