Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor utility locators to identify and mark underground infrastructure across designated areas. You’ll work with a company-provided vehicle, maintain documentation, and photograph each locate to ensure safe, accurate reports.

As a field technician, you will undergo a comprehensive training program, earn overtime for non-standard hours, and benefit from paid holidays, health insurance options, and a strong growth path within the company.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field equipment.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
• Must pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Daytime, full-time position with overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts as needed.
