Job summary

USIC is seeking a licensed locator to perform outdoor utility location work across diverse sites. You will locate underground utilities, mark positions, and document each locate with precision, working in a daytime full-time schedule with potential overtime and on-call shifts.

Ideal candidates are safety‑mocused, comfortable with technology, and able to pass a drug screen. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficient with technology and navigation tools.
• Available for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen due to safety sensitivity.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently in assigned areas (telecom, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate as required.
