Job summary

USIC is hiring outdoor utility locators to accurately locate and mark underground utilities across designated areas. You will document each locate with photos and ensure clear communication with the team and customers.

This is a daytime, full-time position requiring flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts. We provide extensive training, a company vehicle, daily pay options, and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently, including telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with a typical 48-hour turnaround on locates; may require some holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Be available for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (nights/weekends) as needed.
