Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic forestry professionals for a full-time Consulting Utility Forester role.

This position suits entry level to experienced candidates with a background in forestry, environmental studies, or related fields and experience in vegetation management near utility lines. Responsibilities include inspecting trees along lines, reporting results with recommendations, directing line-clearance crews, coordinating access, and liaising with clients, crews, and customers.

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture or closely related field, OR 2 years of related experience.
• Vegetation management experience preferred.
• IS Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist and/or Pesticide license preferred.
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned line clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
