Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring for entry-level and skilled Tree Trimmers and Climbers. On-the-job training is provided to build a career in the line clearance industry. The roles involve trimming, toping, and reshaping trees to clear utility powerlines in all weather.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive hourly pay based on experience. We offer a company-sponsored retirement plan, health insurance, an employee assistance program, and life/long-term/short-term disability

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to identify tree species and use hand tools safely.
• Willing to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background/MVR checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees by climbing or ground work using ladders and saws.
• Operate and service tools and equipment used in tree care.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate work with crew members.
• Obtain permissions from property owners for work and communicate with customers.
• Maintain safety and good relations with the public and customers.
