Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Tree Care Groundperson to work outdoors with our team of professionals. Your office is outside, and you’ll gain a new view every day.

You will assist climbers and foremen, perform pruning and removal services safely, install cables and bracing, and maintain all tools and equipment as part of a leading greenspace stewardship team.

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbers, foreman, and crew members.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients, including pruning, thinning, and deadwood removal.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Be part of the greenspace stewardship team.
