Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company seeks a Tree Care Groundperson to join our outdoor-focused team in Gaithersburg, MD. You will assist climbers and foremen, performing pruning, removal, and support tasks in a dynamic field environment.

Applicants should lift up to 50 lbs, complete Davey safety courses on hire, and preferably hold ISA/TCIA certifications. We offer paid time off, an employee-owned culture, and growth opportunities across the US.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work required and safety training provided upon hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree orientation and safety courses on hire.
• Relevant pesticide licenses preferred, if required by state law.
• COAs/certifications (ISA TCIA) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbers, foreman and crew with tree care tasks.
• Pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in canopies.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection as needed.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as chainsaws and chippers.
