The Davey Tree Expert Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join a large, employee-owned team. The outdoor office offers daily new views as you prune, remove hazardous limbs and ensure tree health and safety for clients.

Qualifications

• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.
• Past experience leading crews.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Include pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.
