Job summary

The City of Lenexa is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker I to maintain Lenexa’s street network and trails. You will operate equipment, perform paving and repair tasks, and support the Streets Division in snow/ice control and emergency responses.

Entry-level role with on-the-job training, career growth, and a strong benefits package. This position offers a predictable 40-hour work week in Lenexa, KS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or two years in a construction-related field.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements and Work Zone Safety Certification (Flagger) or obtain within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Milling, crack sealing, pothole patching and paving sections of roadways.
• Concrete repair including sidewalks, curbs and gutters maintenance.
• Snow and ice removal on city roadways and parking lots.
