Job summary

Eaton County Parks and Recreation Department seeks a skilled coordinator to design and oversee revenue-producing recreation programs and special events for residents and visitors. This role coordinates youth programs, camps, camping, and community events, while guiding outdoor activities and ensuring quality experiences.

Responsibilities include tracking expenditures, recording revenues, assisting with budgets, building partnerships with public and private groups, and performing related duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Programming or related field.
• Two years' experience in Parks and Recreation or Community Education.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Publisher.
• Strong analytical, planning and decision-making skills.
• Lifeguarding/CPR/First-Aid certifications preferred or attainable after start.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and coordinate revenue producing recreation programs, activities, and/or special events.
• Provide direction and oversight of outdoor programs and events.
• Record financial activities and maintain records of expenditures, revenues and deliverables.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring the budget for events and programs.
• Foster cooperative relationships with public and private groups.
• Perform related work as assigned.
