Job summary

East Pennsboro Township is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to assist in planning, coordinating, promoting, and administering parks and recreation programs, events, and facility use. You will work with residents, volunteers, instructors, and municipal staff to provide high-quality recreational services.

The role requires attendance at public meetings and regular evening/weekend work related to programs and events, with responsibilities spanning administration, community engagement, and program

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Parks and Recreation Management or related field and 1–3 years of experience in recreation programming, event coordination, community services, municipal government, or related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience coordinating community events and volunteer programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, promote, and evaluate a diverse range of recreational programs and activities for residents of all ages.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee seasonal programs, camps, sports leagues, fitness activities, educational programs, and community events.
• Coordinate facility reservations, park permits, field scheduling, and recreational facility usage.
• Assist with budget tracking, purchase requests, and invoice processing.
• Maintain recreation department webpages, social media content, and public communications.
• Attend public meetings and support Township boards and committees.
