Job summary

The City of Eagan is seeking a Recreation Programmer to create and lead a variety of community events and camps. You will plan schedules, develop new programs, manage outreach, and ensure accessibility and equity across all activities.

The role is full-time, non-exempt and salary ranges are posted. Expect evenings and weekend work as part of leadership for Parks & Recreation programs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
• Associate’s degree in any field of study.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Two (2) years of direct experience in community events or a recreation setting.
• One (1) year of experience providing work direction to part-time staff and/or volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, lead, and coordinate community events and recreation opportunities.
• Develop and coordinate camp schedules in multiple parks locations.
• Develop and implement new programs, events and outreach opportunities.
• Plan and implement community-wide events.
• Create social media content for Recreation Division programs and events.
• Ensure programs are inclusive, accessible and equitable.

Driver's license

Education

Associate’s degree in any field of study

Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Leisure Services or related field
