Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a Recreation Supervisor to lead program planning, supervision of staff, and daily operations for on-site activities. You will coordinate safety training, event scheduling, and budgeting while cultivating partnerships within the community.

The role emphasizes youth engagement, diversity, and ensuring a supportive environment that fosters positive social interactions and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related area; or four to six years related experience and/or training.
One to two years of supervisory experience.
Experience working with diverse population of youth.
Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and promote recreational programs which meet the needs of all program participants.
Supervises all recreation staff, ensuring safe instruction and records in CIS as required.
Plans and coordinates on-center activities including cultural, sports and leisure-learning programs.
Extends partnerships to other recreational providers in the community.
Maintains supplies, equipment and budgetary records for the department.
Develops monthly and weekly calendars of events for review by the Social Development Director.
