Job summary

Church Street Marketplace seeks a Temporary Maintenance Worker to perform daily outdoor cleaning and maintenance across the marketplace district. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle record check.
• Outdoor maintenance and general construction/trades experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible team player who takes direction well and safety conscious.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to interact favorably with the general public, vendors, fee-payers and retail staff.
• Weekend, night and holiday shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily outdoor cleaning, sweeping, repair and maintenance of the Church Street Marketplace (surfaces such as brick, concrete, slate and granite).
• Salt, shovel, and plow during winter months as needed.
• Work Sundays and on-call for snowstorms.
• Ensure marketplace security by reporting unusual events.
• Empty and clean trash containers; prepare trash for removal by contractors.
• Set up, breakdown, and operate events.
• Clean and unplug catch basin drains as needed.
• Keep garden beds neat by removing debris and pruning as needed.
• Interact favorably with Marketplace users at all times.
