Job summary

Exscape Designs LLC in Ohio seeks a Project Director/Designer to lead landscape and hardscape projects from concept to completion. You will blend hands-on design, estimating, sales, and project oversight while guiding client relationships and a collaborative design-build team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of landscape or hardscape design and estimating, with a background in sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong planning, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Business acumen, personal accountability, and a respectful, collaborative approach to working with others.
• Preferred: Degree in Landscape Architecture; experience with Aspire ERP, performance management, and employee development; and involvement in community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative landscape and hardscape designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion, balancing client goals with site conditions.
• Develop new business through prospecting, lead generation, and sales to expand the client base and meet revenue goals.
• Prepare accurate project estimates that align with client expectations and company profitability targets.
• Define project scope, solicit and review subcontractor bids, and approve invoices to keep work aligned with budgets and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout design and construction, communicating progress and maintaining strong relationships.
• Track project backlog, work in progress, and completed projects to support scheduling and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee subcontractor work, monitor quality, and maintain project schedules.
• Follow up with clients at 30 days, six months, and one year after completion to confirm satisfaction and encourage referrals.
