Job summary

Exscape Designs in Northeast Ohio seeks a Project Manager to own high-visibility outdoor design-build projects from contract signing through final walkthrough. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, values accountability, and aims to deliver on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing all project phases, serving as primary contact for clients and vendors, maintaining schedules and budgets, and driving safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in landscape or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business management, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and multi-project management.
• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
• Preferred: ASPIRE Landscape or similar ERP systems, Microsoft Project, and industry certifications such as CLP, Landscape Industry Certified Manager, PMP, CAPM, or CSM.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned outdoor design-build projects, from pre-construction planning through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal crews, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate weekly crew assignments, and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure projects are delivered at or above estimated gross margins.
• Oversee job site safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, including negotiating pricing to improve division margins.
• Document, execute, and track change orders to ensure projects are built as sold.
• Continuously improve project management processes, including fleet and equipment planning.
• Lead and motivate project crews, manage schedules and time off, and foster a positive team environment.
• Participate in Snow Operations during the winter season, including plan development, area management, and event support as needed.
• Track and report on key performance metrics such as gross margin, invoicing, operating expenses, time performance, and customer satisfaction.
