Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician to detect and mark underground utilities across projects in the United States. You will interpret utility maps, operate magnetic sensing gear, and document findings using digital tools.

The role requires 2–4 years of line locating experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Equal opportunity employer and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2-4 years of line locating experience.
• Must provide certificates of completion for OQ training.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Detect and locate underground utility lines and pipes.
• Read and interpret utility maps showing underground utilities.
• Mark the location of lines with color-coded spray paint.
• Work in various weather conditions and use shovels as needed.
• Follow Utility, State and Federal guidelines for utility line marking.
• Provide records of work performed using a digital camera and laptop.
• Participate in safety meetings and report issues to supervision.
