Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Landscaper I to provide landscape maintenance support for industrial, commercial, and public properties. This role performs basic tasks under supervision and operates a variety of commercial landscaping equipment with an emphasis on safety and plant care.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old, enthusiastic and dependable, and able to work with equipment like mowers, edgers and trimmers.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.
• Valid Driver's license preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks, driving records checks and DOT physical with drug test preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers and edging tools.
• Prune shrubs and low trees as needed.
• Plant and maintain flower beds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along walkways and edges.
• Clear trash and debris from work areas.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing.
• Weed manually or with a hoe/hula hoe.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance to extend life.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers.
