Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across industrial, commercial, and public properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, operate commercial-grade equipment, and assist with plant material upkeep on a day-to-day basis.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork. Candidates should be prepared for outdoor work, weekend availability if needed, and to uphold BrightView standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate landscape equipment such as power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or remove damage.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, trees and buildings.
• Remove trash and blow leaves before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter during mowing.
• Weed by hand or using a hoe.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Remove dead plants and unwanted growth.
• Maintain a polite, guest-friendly demeanor.
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader.
