Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance for a range of properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, operate commercial equipment, and help maintain plant materials and landscape features.

Work includes mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, edging, and seasonal upkeep. Ideal candidates are 18+, dependable, and capable of handling physical outdoor work in heat and sun.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and enthusiastic; dependable for outdoor work.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as gas-powered tools.
• Certified on level 1 equipment: backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower.
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to shape growth.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Remove trash and blow leaves onto turf after mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter while mowing.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Remove trash and dead plants from landscape.
• Maintain friendly demeanor with guests and customers.
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader.
