Job summary

BrightView Landscapes seeks a Landscaper I to provide landscape maintenance support for a variety of industrial, commercial, and public properties. The role performs basic tasks under supervision and helps operate commercial landscaping equipment while caring for plant material.

You will perform mowing, pruning, planting, and upkeep, with emphasis on safety and courteous interaction with guests. This full-time position includes benefits and growth opportunities within a nationwide landscape

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and dependable.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance.
• Certified on level 1 equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with power mowers and edge with a gas-powered edger.
• Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to shape growth or remove damage.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves and debris onto the turf before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing.
• Perform weeding by hand or with hoe.
• Perform basic maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscape.
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers.
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader or Production Manager.
