Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Groundsperson to support the crew by performing ground-based work such as clearing brush and trees, loading and unloading logs, and assisting with site clean-up.

You will follow safety rules, operate hand tools and small machinery, assist with traffic control, and be willing to travel for storm restoration work as needed. A High School diploma and valid driver's license preferred; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screen as required for this job.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way with hand saws, pole saws and pruners.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic to protect workers and public.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance on trucks/equipment.
