Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist in Des Moines area seeks a Groundsperson to support crews clearing brush and trees from the ground, performing site clean-up, and assisting with equipment. You will help maintain safe operations and assist with equipment setup and breakdown.

Must follow safety rules, work outdoors in varying weather, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen; a valid driver's license is preferred. Travel for storm work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Experience in vegetation management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using hand tools.
• Load/unload logs and debris; feed brush to chipper.
• Set up/break down road signs and flag traffic.
• Drive truck or operate equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance and report major repairs.
