Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Groundsperson to support crew operations from ground level, clearing brush and trees and ensuring clean job sites. The role requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for storm restoration.

The position emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Prior utility vegetation management or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Must be able to wear necessary PPE and pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce safe practices on site.
• Clear debris and vegetation; cut brush and trees using hand tools and powered equipment.
• Load/unload trucks, feed brush into chipper, and assist with storm restoration duties as needed.
• Set up road signs and flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment and report major repairs.
