Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support our crew by performing ground-based clearing of brush and trees, plus site cleanup after jobs. The role emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and effective communication on a diverse worksite.

Responsibilities include operating basic hand tools and equipment, loading materials, setting up traffic controls, and performing routine vehicle maintenance while traveling to storm restoration sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions and communicate with team.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Work from the ground to clear brush and trees as directed.
• Load and unload logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into a chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic for safety.
• Drive trucks or operate equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
