Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is hiring a Groundsperson to support the crew from the ground, clearing brush and trees, and performing site clean-up. A valid Driver's License is required.

The role emphasizes safety, operation of hand tools and gas-powered equipment, physical fitness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Travel for storm restoration may be required; full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and operate saws.
• Must work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must wear required PPE.
• Must have and maintain a Driver’s License.
• Must communicate effectively and follow safety rules.
• Must be able to travel for storm restoration work.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and enforce rules.
• Clear debris and brush from job sites.
• Use saws and pruners to clear vegetation.
• Load and unload logs and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Set up road signs and flag traffic.
• Drive truck or operate equipment as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Perform storm-response duties as required.
