Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Data Technician in Massachusetts to collect field data on electric utility and fiber facilities. This outdoor role requires hiking between spans and traveling overnight 1-2 weeks, with home weekends.

You will use tablets, cameras, GPS maps, and measuring tools, work with project teams, and maintain safety. Training is provided; compensation starts at $24.50/hour plus bonuses and allowances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Must enjoy outdoor work in all weather and be physically capable.
• Ability to read GPS maps and work with measuring tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data on electric utility and fiber facilities in outdoor environments.
• Measure attachment heights, span distances, angles, and other specs.
• Submit organized data with maps, notes and digital images for each project.
• Operate and maintain tablets, cameras, measuring tools, PPE.
• Travel overnight 1–2 weeks as required; work with project management team.
• Work safely and independently, representing Osmose professionally.
