Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services seeks a Field Data Technician to collect field data on outdoor utilities projects, requiring hiking between spans and travel up to 1–2 weeks at a time. Training will be provided to perform all duties, with stays possibly longer for out-of-state assignments.

The role demands independence in the field, reliable transportation, and strong written/oral communication. Compensation includes per-hour pay, bonuses, and travel allowances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year outdoor work experience.
• Minimum 1 year following safety programs.
• Minimum 6 months in a quality-controlled environment.
• Minimum 6 months travel with overnight stays.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors collecting field data for fiber optic projects.
• Submit organized data including maps, field notes, and images.
• Operate and maintain tablets, cameras and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field.
• Communicate daily with the project management team.
• Work safely with minimal supervision.
