ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner/Consulting Forester to join our outdoor team in Westmoreland County, Latrobe. You will drive to sites, inspect vegetation, collect data, and collaborate with clients while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires field mobility, GIS and MS Office proficiency, and strong communication skills. A passion for forestry and public interaction is essential for success in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS, Microsoft Suite, and an iPhone.

Responsabilités

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards and protect public safety.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
