Job summary

Telecon in Washington invites applications for energetic Construction Laborers to join our Civil Team. This full-time position is based at our yard in Tacoma, WA, with $20.00–$25.00 per hour pay and weekly payroll.

Responsibilities include diagnosing cable faults, digging, operating tools, site prep, and safety compliance. Qualified candidates have valid driver's license, ability to lift 80 pounds, and are comfortable outdoors year-round; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or landscaping, buried utilities
• Able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required
• Read, speak and write in English with good communication
• Safe manual handling of up to 80 pounds

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and locate cable faults and repair telecommunications cables
• Hand dig holes and trenches
• Use tools such as shovels
• Complete landscaping restoration work
• Aid with site preparation and cleanup
• Load and unload vehicles with supplies and equipment
• Operate gas and power equipment
• Assist with debris removal
• Assist with traffic control as directed
• Assess work environment for health and safety hazards
• Solve problems under pressure and time constraints
• Complete other duties as required
