Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Arborist Trainee for a Spring–Summer 2027 internship in Richardson, TX. You will gain hands-on experience in tree care, plant health care, sales and client services under a mentor across divisions. Hours are 40–50 per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. This internship provides industry-leading training, safety programs and ongoing career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Studying arboriculture, urban forestry, horticulture, landscape design, forestry or related discipline.
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Learn tree care, plant health care and customer service under a mentor across divisions.
• Work on residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.
• Assist in multiple divisions including tree care, sales and client services.
