Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Houston, TX offers a Spring-Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Internship designed for students studying arboriculture, urban forestry, horticulture, landscape design, forestry or related disciplines. It provides exposure to tree care, plant health care, sales and client services.

You will work 40-50 hours per week (Mon-Fri with some Saturdays) under mentorship, across residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.

Qualifications

• Must have enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
• Love of the Outdoors!
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated ability to report for work regularly and punctually.
• Collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor through mentorship across divisions.
• Work on residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.
• Hours: 40-50 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays.
