Job summary
The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking Arborist Trainee interns for Spring-Summer 2027 in Leander, TX, with additional locations in Austin. You will gain hands-on experience in tree care, plant health care, sales and client services, under mentorship and in office and field settings. Hours are 40-50 per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturdays.
Starting wage is $20.00 per hour. Applicants are studying Arboriculture or related fields, have a valid driver's license, and a passion for
Qualifications
- Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
- Driver’s license required; CDL highly valuable.
- Starting at $20.00 hourly.
- Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
- Love of the Outdoors!
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to report for work regularly and punctually.
- Collaboration and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Learn to be a tree doctor and be mentored through a variety of job experiences.
- Internships may vary in length; work on residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.
- Hours: 40-50 hours per week, Mon-Fri with some Saturdays.
