Job summary

Pacific University is seeking a Student FWS Outdoor Recreation Program Assistant for Adventures Without Limits (AWL) in Forest Grove. This off-campus role supports AWL’s mission and helps with planning, social media, and gear logistics while gaining hands-on outdoor experience.

The position is limited to current Pacific University students. Wage is $16.80/hr for the 2026-27 academic year, with duties including trip planning, equipment loading, and warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year college program.
• Interest in working with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, and take initiative.
• Desired: First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Gaining a working knowledge of AWL’s mission, goals and policies.
• Assist social media and marketing efforts.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of outdoor adventure trips.
• Loading/unloading of equipment and gear for outdoor adventure trips.
• Assisting with volunteer management and/or program tracking databases.
• Assisting with equipment and warehouse duties.
• Working independently on a project of interest that will enhance AWL.
