Job summary

The Pacific University Public Health Program is seeking a part-time FWS Public Health Program Assistant on the Forest Grove campus. The role supports faculty, staff and students with administrative, teaching, research, and outreach tasks while ensuring FERPA compliance.

Applicants must be a second or third-year public health student eligible for federal work study. Typical hours are 3–5 per week (not to exceed 20) with a wage of $16.80 per hour, September 2026 through May 2027.

Qualifications

• Be a second or third-year Pacific University public health student eligible for federal work study.
• Ask questions and seek assistance.
• Maintain sensitive information in FERPA-compliant manner and in line with university policies.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Protects student confidentiality by FERPA compliance.
• Supports various course instructors and students.
• Assists with department event setup and cleanup.
• Assists with grading (e.g., quizzes).
• Assists with faculty research projects.
• Copying tasks.
• Proctoring exams.
• Other duties as assigned.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
