Job summary

DAISO in De Soto, IA, is seeking an Outbound Operations Manager to oversee all outbound warehouse activities in a high-volume distribution setting. You will lead and develop outbound teams, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe order fulfillment.

You will monitor key performance indicators, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain operational flow. Flexible hours including evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including 2+ years leading outbound or shipping teams.
3–5 years of supervisory experience with responsibility for hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee outbound functions: picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment based on customer and carrier requirements.
Coach and develop outbound supervisors and warehouse associates; lead daily team huddles.
Monitor KPIs like pick rate, order accuracy, shipping compliance, and labor utilization.
Identify bottlenecks and apply Lean principles to improve workflow.
Coordinate with inventory control to ensure product availability and order readiness; ensure safety of equipment.
Enforce OSHA and company safety policies and lead safety inspections and training.
Collaborate with inbound, replenishment, and transportation to maintain operational flow; assist customer service with issues.
