Job summary

WebstaurantStore Food Service Equipment and Supply Company is seeking an Outbound Assistant Manager to support the Outbound Manager in shipping operations. You will focus on picking, packing, QA and quality metrics while ensuring a high level of customer experience.

You will collaborate with leadership across shifts, help drive process improvements, and manage a small team. The role requires 2+ years of operations leadership and a proven ability to coach staff and meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in operations leadership.
• Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Automated picking experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day outbound operations including picking, packing, QA, and indirect roles to ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy.
• Train, coach and develop up to X employees to meet operational metrics and DC needs.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and resolve issues with the Outbound Manager and team leads.
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings to review metrics, discuss areas of improvement, and update on initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for productivity, cost reduction and process improvements.
