Job summary

PITT OHIO is hiring a Part Time Dockworker-Outbound at our Latham, NY location. Duties include loading and unloading freight, reading labels, and safely handling goods per DOT requirements. Schedule is Monday–Friday with a 4 PM start. Pay starts at USD 25.74 per hour, with potential for growth after training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must consent to a ten-year work history inquiry and provide documentation for gaps.
• At-will employment acknowledgement.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight by hand or with hand truck/dolly per DOT requirements.
• Read shipping labels and follow loading instructions accurately.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage.
• Lift various material types including cartons, bags, and crates.
• Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors as needed.
• Work safely to minimize risk to self and others; comply with regulations.
• Complete all related paperwork daily.
• Be available to work Monday–Friday, 4 PM start, with flexibility as needed.
