Job summary

Nimble is building a new outbound function combining traditional sales development with AI-powered research, automation, and GTM execution. We seek an Outbound Engineering Manager to lead and grow the team, while maintaining a practical quota and hands-on involvement in prospecting to generate pipeline and ARR.

You’ll coach, shape outbound processes, and collaborate with Enterprise AEs to improve deal progression in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a BDR/SDR Manager, Team Lead, or Senior BDR ready to move into management.
• Proven success in outbound prospecting and generating qualified pipeline.
• Strong cold-calling, sequencing, messaging, and objection-handling skills.
• Experience coaching or mentoring other BDRs and improving team performance.
• Comfortable managing pipeline targets, tracking conversion rates, and holding people accountable.
• Experience working with Enterprise AEs and account-based outbound motions.
• Familiarity with AI-powered GTM tools, automation, and modern prospecting technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a growing team of Outbound AI Engineers.
• Carry a reduced individual quota, including making calls, prospecting, and creating pipeline.
• Coach the team on cold calling, email, LinkedIn, cadences, objection handling, and follow-up.
• Develop and improve outbound strategies, messaging, and account engagement.
• Run regular pipeline reviews, call reviews, and individual coaching sessions.
• Work closely with Enterprise AEs and Sales leadership to improve pipeline generation and deal progression.
• Ensure the team remains focused on assigned accounts and GTM priorities.
• Evaluate AI-powered research, account briefs, workflows, and GTM assets for effectiveness.
