Job summary

We are Schweitzer, located in Sandpoint, Idaho, seeking an experienced Rowdy Grouse Crew member to prepare and serve beverages to guests. You’ll work to create a friendly, efficient guest experience in a mountain resort setting.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of bartending, know wine/beer, and be comfortable with a POS system. Weekend/holiday shifts are expected, with tips and seasonal/full-time or part-time options.

Qualifications

• 1+ year bartending experience; wine and beer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to ID guests per Idaho liquor laws.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Idaho Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate to be obtained.
• Idaho Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take/prepare drink orders with recommendations.

• Maintain clean, stocked bar and know drink recipes.
• Handle cash and operate POS accurately.

They ensure a clean and well-stocked bar, maintain knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment, and provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.Schedule will include weekends and holidays.**Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Greet guests, take and prepare drink orders, and provide recommendations while ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.* ID guests in accordance to Idaho state liquor and identification laws. Monitor guest intoxication and take action or get help, if necessary.* Create and produce outstanding food.* Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas neat and pleasant.* Assisting in snow removal, including moving tables and chairs.* Maintain cleanliness by keeping the bar and kitchen area clean and organized, including glassware, tools, and surfaces, in compliance with health and safety regulations.* Assisting in deliveries and trash removal.* Thorough knowledge of our menu and the resort as a whole is critical.* Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently. Turn in accurate deposits with end of shift reports.**Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire. Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)Technical- Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).Physical Capabilities- Must ski or snowboard at an intermediate level to get to and from work. Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift to 50 lbs. occasionally.Additional- Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.**Education/Related Experience**:Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.
