Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Distribution System Operations Analyst to acknowledge changes and system events that interrupt service, disseminating information to several departments and agencies. The role may require 24x7 coverage during storms or emergencies.

You will perform companywide callouts on backshift using ARCOS, assist dispatchers with computer and application problems, and provide data-driven updates on outage status, restoration times, and incident communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and strong knowledge of the electrical distribution system.
• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in a technical field and 2–4+ years in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• Shift work including days, nights, weekends and holidays; strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, PassPort, OMS/SCADA, CIMS, and ARCOS.

Responsibilities

• Notify system events and outage status to City of Chicago, state agencies and other municipalities; communicate updates via paging, websites and reports.
• Answer information requests from internal departments and external agencies regarding system status, estimated restore time, and outage causes.
• Document system events and status using databases and web pages such as OCS, SRP, FLOS, eOutage, OMS/SCADA, OFS, CIMS and Load Shed; initiate PassPort work orders.
• Generate and analyze reports for OCC Director, Shift Managers and Information Desk Supervisors on monthly performance metrics and storm data.
• Deploy and track generators on the ComEd distribution system; coordinate security coverage and fueling of equipment.
