Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Driver to join our safety-conscious team in Denton, TX. This route runs from Denton to California and averages 2,800–3,000 miles per week with two weeks out.

You will be paid for on-duty time and mileage, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus and bi-weekly home time. Clean Harbors offers health benefits after 30 days, a group 401(k) with company matching, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and a path to ownership through employee stock plans.

• Tank vehicle endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper unit utilization.
• Loads/unloads hazardous and non-hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Complies with DOT and company safety policies and keeps logs and reports up to date.
• Prepares and maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports.

• Drivers average $80-$110K per year
• $7,500 sign-on-bonus available
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation includes hourly wages (all on-duty non-driving time) and mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
