Job summary

Nuro is seeking an engineer to build and maintain release and OTA update infrastructure for its fleets. The Fleet Connectivity team connects and updates Nuro’s fleets, spanning cloud and robot stacks to ensure reliable connectivity, telemetry, and software updates.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and improve software for mission-critical systems, track KPI-driven performance, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go or C++.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Bash scripting.
• Ability to turn high-level requirements into a detailed, cohesive system design.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design for large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for release infrastructure, vehicle connectivity, and OTA updates.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across teams.
• Write well-designed, testable code that aligns with quality standards.
• Track and improve performance of the release system and KPIs.
• Develop test and validation programs to ensure robustness of architecture and data flows.
• Improve documentation and participate in on-call rotation during business hours.
