Job summary

Nuro is seeking a Technical Lead for Fleet Connectivity in Mountain View, CA. You will own the networking backbone for two‑way data flow between autonomous fleets and the cloud, including telemetry, routing, and modems integration.

You will drive fault‑tolerant design across cellular and Wi-Fi networks, evaluate hardware modules, and mentor engineers while shaping the long‑term architecture of Nuro’s safety‑critical systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience with a Tech Lead role on complex software projects.
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, Python or similar languages and ability to architect systems.
• Deep expertise in debugging Linux networking stacks and cellular modem tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define the fleet connectivity roadmap and architecture for reliable cloud communication.
• Lead software efforts for scalable, fault-tolerant connectivity across platforms.
• Mentor engineers and provide high‑level design guidance across teams.
• Develop analysis tools, dashboards, and automation to monitor connectivity trends.
• Collaborate with hardware, autonomy, and operations to resolve fleet issues.
