Job summary

Nuro seeks a seasoned engineer to help build and scale the Routing backend and onboard modules that power our Driver platform. You will design microservices, optimize routing algorithms, and contribute to analytics and deployment pipelines, enabling safer, more efficient journeys.

You should bring 3–5+ years in realtime server-side apps, strong C++, and experience with distributed databases, cloud providers, and container tech.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of building and scaling realtime server-side applications.
• Experience with large-scale algorithm problems balancing correctness and performance.
• Proficient in C++.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, BigTable, Cassandra, etc.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS).
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems and onboard modules for Routing team.
• Design microservices and optimize routing algorithms.
• Build monitoring/analytics infrastructure and improve deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, strategy, and operations to shape roadmap.
