Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to implement therapeutic programs under supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include patient education, assisting with daily living activities, and guiding patients toward greater independence in ADLs.

The OTA coordinates with therapists and the rehab director, documents progress, and participates in case conferences to ensure positive outcomes and adherence to agency standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by AOTA.
• Current Texas license to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Two years’ OTA home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and collaborates with the Occupational Therapist and Rehab Director to integrate the therapeutic program into the care plan.
• Guides and teaches patients in therapeutic, compensatory, and self-care activities to improve function and independence.
• Observes, records, and reports patient reactions and changes in condition or care decisions.
• Participates in patient case conferences to coordinate plans and outcomes.
• Reports pain, sickness, or unusual reactions to the OT and RN.
• Adheres to safety, confidentiality, and agency policies throughout treatment.
